You Never Know How Your Day Will Change
2020 brought unexpected challenges for many of us. For me, it became a journey of creativity and resilience. With a new sewing machine in hand, I began sewing masks—first for my husband, our beautiful nieces, Mom, sister/bro-in-law, and eventually for customers on Etsy. Sourcing materials and elastic was a challenge, but the joy of helping others kept me going. Sewing became my therapy, and each stitch was made with love.
One Christmas, my wonderful husband gifted me an embroidery machine. With Covid still lingering, I decided to put it to use—monogramming and embroidering everything textile in sight! Soon I started creating and selling my own digital embroidery files. The first design I ever digitized was a cute nurse in honor of my sister—a true hero. From there, I crafted a set of Woodland Creatures for a friend, and they quickly became my shop’s bestsellers!
Moving up and Growing
Fast forward four years, and The Sapphire Sunflower has grown beyond Etsy. What started with hand-sewn masks and embroidery files has now blossomed into a curated collection of unique gifts, all carefully selected with love and thoughtfulness.
